The highly anticipated Zafferanese Ottobrata returns.
The Ottobrata Zafferanese is one of the most important and anticipated gastronomic events in southern Italy. It returns on Oct. 16, 23 and 30 with its 42nd edition in Zafferana Etnea, specifically in Piazza della Regione Siciliana.
This is an all-you-can-eat review, with an increased focus on green and gluten free. There will be various dishes belonging to the Sicilian tradition prepared with local ingredients such as honey, from which Zafferana Etnea’s designation of “honey town” derives, as well as mushrooms, chestnuts, eggs and apples. All of which are Doc, DOP, or included in the databases of traditional agri-food products.
But the program does not end there, there will be entertainment for all, such as cooking shows, family friendly area and folk music.
