Our moms’ culinary traditions are among the most valuable assets that may be passed down through generations.
And you may have a one-of-a-kind and fascinating experience at the B&B Pupi Catania Etna in Aci Castello. With his gourmet creations, the owner, Peppe Caudullo, offers unique culinary workshops with Sicilian moms.
Inside the panoramic dining room overlooking the Riviera dei Ciclopi, you may take part in this experience, which concludes with a final taste available to students’ friends as well.
During the course participants are taught how to make fresh pasta, traditional sauces, and some special goodies passed down from grandparents.
Following an introduction to ancient Sicilian grains, flour variants, and different forms of pasta processing, we proceed with the manufacture of several delicacies: filled, colored, with water and egg.
You will also learn how to make the key sauces of the Italian culinary tradition: grandma Maria’s sauce, pesto Sicilian, a basic tomato sauce with local fragrances, a classic Trapanese, and seasoning for the traditional pasta with sardines.
Finally, eggplant parmigiana, The caponatina, Sicilian cannoli packed with fresh ricotta, and a variety of other recipes will be prepared based on the group’s preferences and interests.
All that is left is to book!
