Stories and places of ancient Noto: 1693 steps back in time
Discovering ancient Noto with a unique and exciting excursion scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 30. These terms refer to the archaeological area located on Mount Alveria, where the remains of the ancient city of Noto, destroyed by an earthquake in 1963, are located.
The itinerary of “Stories and Places of Ancient Noto: 1693 Steps Back in Time” includes a visit to Mount Alveria and its slopes, and then exploring the entire plateau by immersing oneself among the ruins of a past civilization, including fortifications and religious buildings, up to the castle and the gymnasium. All interspersed with a lunch break.
The tour is organized by Hermes Sicily Tours incollaboration with the“Milone Nordic Walking Siracusa” association and costs 10 euros.
