What is the infiorata of Noto?

That of theInfiorata of Noto is an event that every year defies even the most adverse weather conditions, in order not to skip a single edition. It is said that two years ago a strong wind swept everything away, and the flower artists immediately set out to restore their works.
The annual appointment was not waived even during the Covid-19 pandemic 2020. The various teams of artists adhered to the strict prevention regulations with the aim of equally making their own sketches and showing them in live streaming via social or local television stations. The former mayor Corrado Bonfanti, in a video posted on the facebook page of the Municipality of Noto, he spoke about the will with which local governments made sure the event was still held despite the pandemic. A gesture of hope and resilience during a very hard time for the whole country. Unlike the previous edition, the
42nd ‘Infiorata di Noto’ of 2021, created in honor of Dante Aligheri in the 700th anniversary of his death, was held in attendance from May 14 to 16.

Infiorata of Noto: dates 2022
La 43rd Infiorata of Noto will always be held in Nicolaci Street and will be dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Unesco recognition for the Val di Noto, as with the ten-year anniversary of 2012. This year it will be organized by the new municipal administration headed by Conrad Figure and will take place from May 13 to 15, respecting the previous integral form of the event, modified during these two years of health emergency.
