Bike tours in Palermo
Palermo from a different point of view. A bicycle tour is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 30, taking visitors to discover the city’s suburbs and hidden places.
“At the Edge of the City” is built on a route from John Lennon Square (formerly Giotto Square) at 9:30 a.m. to the entrance of the Port. The route is looped and passes through Palermo’s hamlets, gardens, neighborhoods and hidden places, and because of its length, it has been divided into two parts. On this day the first piece, about 27 km long, will be covered.
The ride is suitable for moderately trained cyclists and it is possible to participate with any bike except racing bikes. In addition, there is a small contribution of for the organization that runs the event and to take out the FIAB liability/accident insurance policy, which is equivalent to 4 euros for members and 6 for non-members.
