Palermo in Art Nouveau
Spring is increasingly upon us, and with its colors and patterns, it recalls the floral style of ”Little Paris,” the Palermo of the late 19th century. And so on March 20 I will be able to participate in a walk to discover the places and streets that characterized a unique era, playful in its lines and forms: the Art Nouveau.
The meeting point is at the Cove Marina at 9:30 a.m. and from there, guided by the association Siciliando Style you will begin a tour that as its first stop includes an exceptional visit to the interior of what remains of Florio House, the historic home at 51 Materassai Street from which the entire fortune of the famous family began. Afterwards, a series of glimpses, surprises and unexpected corners will help make the day unique.
The cost of the hike is 15 euros for members and 20 euros for non-members.
