“Salina Jazz Festival”: music on the island.
From Friday, September 23 to Sunday, September 25, in Salina, the sound of the sea and the silence of nature will be accompanied by enchanting jazz notes, thanks to the sixth edition of the “Salina Jazz Festival.”
Palazzo Marchetti, a historic site of cultural and concert activities, will be the venue for the peculiar festival dedicated to improvisational music. Fruit of the collaboration between Clara Rametta, mayor of Malfa and founder of the Didime 90 Association, and Giuseppe Urso, who has always signed its conception and artistic direction.
But what is so special about this festival? Its uniqueness lies precisely in the fact that concerts are held at dawn. And this year, every day, there will also be a double date (one at 7:30 p.m. and the other at 9:30 p.m.).
