Incastro Festival in Castroreale
From June 6 to July 24, 2021, Castroreale in the Province of Messina will come alive again with the city actions and activities of the InCastro project.
Called one of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy, Castroreale deserves to be known above all for its unique artistic energy. Here at Casa Faranda was born at the InCastro project by Giorgia Di Giovanni e
Pierfrancesco Mucari( Vento di Scirocco Association), an art place oriented toward experiential and relational tourism where creativity can be expressed.
Many Town actions are materialized in this hamlet, including “THE ROOTS OF ARTEMISIA – GENTLE WORKS,” in which citizens reappropriate Artemisia, a legendary plant symbolizing historical and rural reappropriation and caring for their country. The plants collected and cared for during the project will then be “housed” within the “gentle works,” installations and sculptures specially created by a group of artists and placed in the Castren territory.
