ViniMilo: wine tastings, tours and tribute to Battiato
Once again this year, “ViniMilo” turned Milo, in the province of Catania, Sept. 1-12, into a concentration of high-quality volcanic wines. This event, now in its 41st year, came with an extensive program of events: technical conferences, institutional comparisons and tastings, excellent food-wine associations orchestrated by taste experts.
The event is suitable for anyone who feels a connection with the nectar of the gods: producers, winemakers, researchers, sommeliers, chefs and wine lovers. In addition, walking through the streets of the village you can enjoy special and unique flavors accompanied by musical backgrounds. For example, on Sept. 5, a spiritual tribute was made to Franco Battiato, who was deeply in love with Milo for its silences and mystical woodland atmosphere, to celebrate the passion of the vintners. At dawn, in fact, it was possible to participate in a Shams Meditation, or “of the sun,” given by Amal Oursana, an acupuncturist physician.
There are still a few days left to enjoy this intense event: for more info on the full program, click here.
The 2021 edition has the support of the Sicily Region’s Department of Tourism, Sports and Entertainment and the Department of Agriculture.
