The Ways of Treasures in Sicily

Until October 31, it will be possible to participate in The Ways of Treasures. The Heritage Festival allows people to visit cities as if they were widespread museums. Eight weekends, nineteen cities and towns across the Island, for a noteworthy 15th edition.

The festival began onSeptember 11, and over the next three weekends through the 26th, events covered 12 centers. Specifically, in alphabetical order: Bagheria, Caltagirone, Caltanissetta, Carini, Enna, Marsala, Mazara, Messina, Monreale, Noto, Termini Imerese, and Trapani. As of Oct. 2, the focus has shifted to Catania, Cefalù, Erice, Palermo, Ragusa, Sciacca and Scicli, all of which can be discovered with a single coupon (to purchase here).

Le Vie dei Tesori has over 450 architectures that can be visited smartly and digitally. Secret terraces, aristocratic and historic palaces, gardens, museums, churches and crypts, monasteries and many other sites that, most of the time closed, are opened and told. All this, as an opportunity for cultural reappropriation of citizens, but also as a great opportunity for tourists and travelers.

Some of the open places in Palermo

Among the visits, it will be possible to delve into the mansion, set of Visconti’s The Leopard, Villa Boscogrande. Still, the Catacomb of Porta d’Ossuna, the Castle of Maredolce, Father Messina’s Work and Prayer House, Villa Tasca, theformer Manifattura Tabacchi will be explored. Then, the Cave of the Nymphaeum, Palazzo Burgio of Villafiorita, Palazzo Oneto of Sperlingaand many more. In detail, 87 places, 26 special experiences, 100 walks and 9 out-of-town itineraries.
