Intrigue and Gossip: Palermo Curtigghiara
Sunday, March 27 last appointment of the month with “Palermo curtigghiara: Intrigues, Loves and Gossips of Aristocratic Palermo,” the original guided tour that takes the curious to discover a hidden side of the city, among beautiful places and ancient stories.
The tour is organized by Esplora Siti Sicilia, takes about two hours and starts sa Porta Nuova at 10:30 am. From there, we pass through Piazza della Vergogna, and then continue through gardens, palaces, churches and convents, which tell of the secrets of the past. Vices of viceroys, conspiracies, hidden details about the lives of nuns, poisons of sorceresses, deceptions and betrayals, curious anecdotes and spicy stories.
All this, always paying attention to the great architectural heritage in which Palermo is rich.
