Picnic on Easter Monday in Sicily!
One of the most respected traditions on Easter Monday is to hold a barbecue. But there is an alternative that is just as enjoyable and even more immersive in nature: the picnic.
Here is a list of some recommended areas in Sicily where to spend a good day:

We start with one of the best-equipped areas ever, for which there is an entrance fee, of 1 euro. Inside it are: tables, benches, prefabricated barbecues, toilets, dedicated areas for children and a bar. In charge of the management is the

which also organizes various excursions and guided tours. - Maulazzo Lake – Cesaro (Catania)
In the heart of the Nebrodi Mountains expands this artificial lake surrounded by lush, verdant nature. The area is not equipped, but it is wonderful and the perfect place to have a picnic lunch after the approximately 3.5 km hike to get there. - Equipped area of Linguaglossa
(Catania)
Looking around you can see Mount Etna, also snow-capped depending on the time of year, and lava rivulets. This area, which is free of charge, not only offers characteristic scenery but is also an excellent starting point for forest outings. - Lake of Pozzillo – Ragalbuto (Enna)
A body of water that stands out among the green and yellow vegetation. There are grills and toilets here and, a short distance away, the Pozzillo Adventure Parzo (private and paid). - Alcantara River Park
– Francavilla di Sicilia (Messina)
The park is very large and accessible from several points, one of the most convenient being the town of Francavilla. Once there, you can decide whether to stop at an equipped rest stop in the Cappuccini district. - Equipped Area Isola – ‘Castello Conceria’ woodland complex
Nearly 3 hectares of woodland complex in the Agrigento area, equipped with cooking facilities, tables with 140 postsi i seating, toilets, children’s playground and running water. All this, in close contact with nature. A location not to be missed. - Magaggiaro forest domain -.agrigentino
Halfway between the municipalities of Menfi and Montevago lies this area consisting of a dense pine forest where local stone has been used to create seating, tables, and equip the area. There is also a small church, also made of the same material.
And then, again, several areas in Girato-Ficuzza, in Casalotto – Piana degli Albanesi. As well as the Zingaro-Capreria area and the Balestrate area, which is very close to the sea, and many others.
In short, there is no shortage of places, you just need a little imagination for your picnic “basket” and the day is organized!
