“AlturEstival”: the festival in the Sicilian mountains dedicated to nature and music
An out-of-the-ordinary festival returns to the mountains of Sicily to celebrate nature and music from September 3 to October 3: ArturEstival. Specifically, the event takes place among the Conca D’Oro Mountains and the Madonie Regional Nature Park, which are transformed into stages, meeting places, starting points and exhibition venues.
Trekking, walking and music
The event was organized by the Formedonda cultural association and the Sicilian Alpine Club and is now in its fifth year. It all starts in the Castelbuono forest, also the location of some concerts and themed, vegetarian tastings, strictly with traditional local Sicilian products.
The program is packed with activities that combine music and nature, such as: musical excursions, musical theater, concerts, and performances. But also photo exhibitions, storytelling, poetry reviews, talks and listening, to relaxing sound walks. The first two weekends in particular focused on sounds related to meditation and relaxation.
There is no doubt that music is effective, mentally and consequently physically. So are the benefits of sports or recreational activity, especially outdoors. In this case, on a physical and, consequently mental level. From this it is easy to see how an event that combines both aspects can gain even more potential and value. In addition, while conducting activities with background music, the ArturEstival is the perfect opportunity to discover the beauty of the Sicilian mountainous area.
